It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? (#6) (9/15/14)

Monday Meme
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme created and hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. for book bloggers to share what they’re reading today or this week.
Good evening everyone. 🙂 I am happy to say that I have finished reading An Abundance of Katherines by John Green and have started my ARC of Falling Into Place by Amy Zhang. So far I really love it. It’s very similar to If I Stay by Gayle Forman which I absolutely love (and reviewed here).
Falling Into Place is about a girl named Liz Emerson who has attempted to kill herself by the time the novel begins. It’s told in a nonlinear format.
Assuming I finish Falling Into Place this week, I plan on starting either Before I Fall or This Is What Happy Looks Like. It all depends on how the rest of this book goes if I could use another “serious” book or a pick me up, romantic read. 🙂
What are you guys reading this week?

Monday Meme
Hey everyone! It’s Monday and time to see what I’m reading this week. This meme was created and hosted by Book Journey. It is a place to share what you’re reading this week. 🙂
I’m currently making my way through Looking For Alaska by John Green.
Looking_For_Alaska_zps0c53c0baGoodreads Summary:
Before. Miles “Pudge” Halter’s whole existence has been one big nonevent, and his obsession with famous last words has only made him crave the “Great Perhaps” (François Rabelais, poet) even more. He heads off to the sometimes crazy, possibly unstable, and anything-but-boring world of Culver Creek Boarding School, and his life becomes the opposite of safe. Because down the hall is Alaska Young. The gorgeous, clever, funny, sexy, self-destructive, screwed-up, and utterly fascinating Alaska Young, who is an event unto herself. She pulls Pudge into her world, launches him into the Great Perhaps, and steals his heart.
After. Nothing is ever the same.
I’m only about 23 pages into it so far. It’s giving me a (500) Days of Summer vibe with Miles or “Pudge” being instantly attracted to Alaska. As well as the book every so often saying “# days before” going down to I assume, the latest date at the end, like (500) Days. Oh, it also has the whole name in the title thing too. 🙂

It’s giving me a Garden State vibe too. Alaska seems like your usual manic pixie dream girl, just like Sam.

I’ve got it! Alaska seems like a combination of Sam and…Sam, from Perks of Being A Wallfower. Well then…I just remembered both their names was Sam. That’s…interesting to say the least. 🙂

Anyway so far I like it a bit. I’m so excited now to finish the book and write the review.
What are you guys reading today or this week? What have you finished reading? What do you think you’ll read next? Have you seen either of the movies or read the books above? Let me know. Have a great reading week. 🙂

Monday MemeHey everyone. It’s Monday and this meme is created and hosted by bookjourney. 🙂 Basically you tell about what you’re reading today or this week in my case.
I am still reading Lola and The Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins for the Isla Is Coming read-along that is still going on.
Hopefully I will actually finish reading Lola in a reasonable amount of time and be able to read another book this week.
What are you reading this Monday? 🙂

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? (#2)

Hey everyone. It’s Monday! That means it’s time for this weekly meme created by BookJourney. 🙂 I’m making this quick post before I start getting ready for VBS.

Let’s see. . .

Well I finished Anna and The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins around two am this morning.

I think I’ll end up starting either This Is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith or If I Stay by Gayle Forman tonight and finish by Friday. Then Friday I’m going to read Lola and The Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins.

I hope everyone has a good week. What are you reading today?
