Books That Are Sure To Be Great Beach Reads

Top Ten TuesdayIt’s Top Ten Tuesday and while everyone’s at BEA, I’ll be posting this today! Yayyy. This is the second TTT that I’ve actually had done in advance and yet, “Amber, why didn’t you schedule it then”, because readers/followers/friends, I don’t really schedule posts because odds are, I’ll have more I want to say.
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created and hosted @ The Broke and The Bookish. Every week the ladies there create a list for bloggers to participate in and encourage blog hopping on the linky.
Since it’s summer or almost summer technically, they chose “Ten Books I Plan To Have In My Beach Bag This Summer or Ten Books I Think Make Great Beach Reads”. Now I don’t exactly have a beach bag…or a beach…because you know, I live in Kansas. The opposite of beach area. Ha. Anyway, I thought it’d be fun to get a mix of romance novels and thrillers! Why? Because I can alternate in between them!

The Distance Between UsOn The FenceThe Fill In Boyfriend

I know, it’s a crime that I haven’t read these three yet. 😦 I’m going to though! This summer for sure! I’m even planning on buying On The Fence and The Fill In Boyfriend in a couple weeks so I can binge read all three!

My Life Next DoorWhat I Thought Was True

I have heard amazing things about My Life Next Door like it’s such a sex positive book, which I love. I want to read these two before Huntley’s third The Boy Most Likely To comes out since it’s a companion to MLND.

Amy and Roger's Epic DetourSecond Chance SummerSince You've Been Gone

I know, I know…Morgan Matson is like one of the top contemporary writers from what I’ve heard and it’s a sin I haven’t read any of her books, despite owning all three…

Open Road SummerThe Start of Me And You

Likewise with Huntley’s books, I want to read these two before her newest When We Collided comes out next year since it’s a companion novel to one of these two, I just can’t remember which one…

Saint Anything

I won an ARC of this so I’m really excited to get it and read it. I’ve heard it’s different from Sarah’s previous books and this will be the first book of hers that I’ve finished. I did try reading Just Listen months ago but I set it aside for something else.

P.S. I Still Love You

THIS BOOK COMES OUT TODAY! Oh my gosh! I am so excited to read it! I know I didn’t rate it the first one the highest last year, but I’m still really happy about the sequel and look at that cover! It’s so pretty.

The Devil You Know

Oh gosh, okay, I know I talked about this book during one of my 2015 YA Trends/Themes posts, but let me just say again, GOING ON A ROAD TRIP WITH TWO STRANGERS YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW ISN’T A GOOD IDEA. So hopefully this book is very mysterious, scary and doesn’t disappoint.

Pretending To Be Erica

This sounds amazing. I love a girl that’s raised to do a specific goal and she’s a CON ARTIST. That’s just like the coolest thing ever! I can’t wait to see how this plays out.

The Secrets We Keep

The Secrets We Keep is about two sisters where one dies and the other takes over her sister’s life for her family’s sake and because she feels responsible for her death. I’ve heard this is really emotional so I want to read it.

Damage Done

Damage Done is about a girl named Julia whose life changes in 22 minutes but we don’t know the details really until the story unfolds, at least that’s how I imagine this. 🙂 Julia takes on a new identity and a new school. I’m interested in seeing how this goes about because she meet someone who may be dangerous. Ooh.

The Tenderness of Thieves

This book released today! Yay! Okay, The Tenderness of Thieves is about a girl named Jane who was held at gunpoint in the winter. Now that it’s summer she’s trying to just enjoy herself and meets a guy named Handel who has secrets Jane isn’t aware of. I have a few suspicions already of what Handel’s secret could be, but it will be interesting to see what it actually is and if Handel’s a good person or not.

Okay, I’ll be honest. I’ll probably only read half of these books because, well, you know how I am. I put high reading standards for myself and never reach them. Or I go through reading slumps and that’s no fun. So if I read a few of these in the next few months, I’ll be happy. 🙂
Tell me what books you’re looking forward to reading this summer and let me know if you’ve read any of these! Particularly Pretending To Be Erica because that sounds so so so good! I hope everyone has a great week!
