It’s Top Ten Tuesday and while everyone’s at BEA, I’ll be posting this today! Yayyy. This is the second TTT that I’ve actually had done in advance and yet, “Amber, why didn’t you schedule it then”, because readers/followers/friends, I don’t really schedule posts because odds are, I’ll have more I want to say.
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created and hosted @ The Broke and The Bookish. Every week the ladies there create a list for bloggers to participate in and encourage blog hopping on the linky.
Since it’s summer or almost summer technically, they chose “Ten Books I Plan To Have In My Beach Bag This Summer or Ten Books I Think Make Great Beach Reads”. Now I don’t exactly have a beach bag…or a beach…because you know, I live in Kansas. The opposite of beach area. Ha. Anyway, I thought it’d be fun to get a mix of romance novels and thrillers! Why? Because I can alternate in between them!
~Kasie West~
I know, it’s a crime that I haven’t read these three yet. 😦 I’m going to though! This summer for sure! I’m even planning on buying On The Fence and The Fill In Boyfriend in a couple weeks so I can binge read all three!
~Huntley Fitzpatrick~
I have heard amazing things about My Life Next Door like it’s such a sex positive book, which I love. I want to read these two before Huntley’s third The Boy Most Likely To comes out since it’s a companion to MLND.
~Morgan Matson~
I know, I know…Morgan Matson is like one of the top contemporary writers from what I’ve heard and it’s a sin I haven’t read any of her books, despite owning all three…
~Emery Lord~
Likewise with Huntley’s books, I want to read these two before her newest When We Collided comes out next year since it’s a companion novel to one of these two, I just can’t remember which one…
~Sarah Dessen~
I won an ARC of this so I’m really excited to get it and read it. I’ve heard it’s different from Sarah’s previous books and this will be the first book of hers that I’ve finished. I did try reading Just Listen months ago but I set it aside for something else.
~Jenny Han~
THIS BOOK COMES OUT TODAY! Oh my gosh! I am so excited to read it! I know I didn’t rate it the first one the highest last year, but I’m still really happy about the sequel and look at that cover! It’s so pretty.
~Trish Dollar~
Oh gosh, okay, I know I talked about this book during one of my 2015 YA Trends/Themes posts, but let me just say again, GOING ON A ROAD TRIP WITH TWO STRANGERS YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW ISN’T A GOOD IDEA. So hopefully this book is very mysterious, scary and doesn’t disappoint.
~Michelle Painchaud~
This sounds amazing. I love a girl that’s raised to do a specific goal and she’s a CON ARTIST. That’s just like the coolest thing ever! I can’t wait to see how this plays out.
~Trisha Leaver~
The Secrets We Keep is about two sisters where one dies and the other takes over her sister’s life for her family’s sake and because she feels responsible for her death. I’ve heard this is really emotional so I want to read it.
~Amanda Pahitch~
Damage Done is about a girl named Julia whose life changes in 22 minutes but we don’t know the details really until the story unfolds, at least that’s how I imagine this. 🙂 Julia takes on a new identity and a new school. I’m interested in seeing how this goes about because she meet someone who may be dangerous. Ooh.

Yay for ARCs! I’m waiting to get Saint Anything from the library.
Just in case you didn’t know, you can edit a scheduled post–even after it’s been posted, if you like.

Ah I love your list! I aren’t read any Kasie West yet but I have one on my Kindle so hopefully soon. I also had the Start of Me and You on my list. It just looks summery (and I have heard good things.) Great list – I like the mix of books!

Thanks! Oh yeah, Kasie definitely had to make my list. 🙂 I’ve only read Pivot Point by her and part of Split Second. The Start of Me and You DOES look extremely summery. Thank you! Yes, romance and thrillers, I thought it’d be a great summer combo. 🙂

hahaha I haven’t read ANY of these! I totally need to read some Kasie West one of these days. I was leaning more towards Pivot Point but her contemporary romances are sure popular! Same goes for Morgan Matson and Sarah Dessen. I clearly don’t read a lot of contemporary. Great picks! 😀
Thanks so much for stopping by!

ALL OF THESE LOOK SO GOOD!!! I am so so so excited to read The Fill-In Boyfriend, The Secrets We Keep, and To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, but I don’t have copies yet… 😦 I’m also excited to read Saint Anything, which I actually have a copy of! (Yay) And wow, I cannot even count how many people have put Since You’ve Been Gone on their list; it’s so popular for this topic!
